Even in the earliest records of our human existence, there have always been oppressors on the wrong side of history. As early as ancient Egypt, prominent figures such as Hashepsut, the first female pharaoh, were purposely erased from history. Centuries later, we find ourselves still in that same position. The question that remains is, why though, when we have made all of these other advancements that we have thus far?
